getting a job

my son has graduated from OCU with a law degree but can't find a job.He has had a couple of interviews but others with more experience are hired.He is trying to get any job at this point but I think he doesn't get some interviews because he is over qualified academically.How can he get an edge...what are the buzz words that these HR people want to hear.He is getting really restless and bored and wants to be working.He lives in Oklahoma...any ideas that could get help him some interviews would be appreciated.
