His mom is an "all black" kitty, and we brought her in also to join our large indoor only feline family. His name is Cruiser, and he is a true black color, not auburn when in the sun, as is his mom. He is definitely a character for sure and were it up to him?? He would love it to be only him and mama in our feline family.

Please post his baby picture again, John! Such a cute lil guy. 8)

My sister did, and she was just the best cat. I wonder why the official cat organizations won't recognize tuxedo as an official marking?

It may be for the same reason that palomino (gold w/ cream or white mane & tail) isn't officially recognized as a coloring by the horse registry: breeding two palominos has yet to produce a palomino foal.

My kitty is a gray and white tuxedo cat with a teardrop of snow on her nose. I've been owned by cats all my life, but this one is by far the most affectionate I've ever encountered. Very much a lap cat, follows me around from room to room and settles down right next to me... or on top of me.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

She loves to be carried, would ride on my shoulder all day if permitted, also is very playful and carries her toys around and presents them when she wants a playmate. She gives gentle taps with her paw or a soft lick on the hand to remind me she needs a pet or a scratch, and she "narrates her life," very vocal with little rumbling, or chirping, or humming sounds.

If these things are characteristic of tuxedo cats, I predict you'll be captivated by and enchanted with this one (if you aren't already).

Bless you, route 7, for your work with these sweet creatures.{#emotions_dlg.wub}

we lived and were owned by a Himalayan for 20 years. Samantha. When she died 2 other of our cats died at 19 and 18. At the same year. It took 1 1/2 years to find another girl, Sylvia.

One of the 2 cats I adopted this year is a black and white tuxie. Adorable, quirky, and a little bit naughty! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I was owned by a Tux kitty named Sox and he was a great cat. Very smart. Loved to play with the cap off of a water bottle and got very good at stealing them in a flash if you put it down while taking a drink

I had one. Her name was Bennie. She was really sweet and had a gorgeous black shiny coat. I love tuxedo cats.
