I volunteer at my local shelter and have a Himalayan rescued from Hurricane Sandy. I am now fostering a female Tuxedo who is a doll. I will officially adopt her tomorrow. The Tuxie is such a sweetheart and I have been reading up on them - great cats. Anyone here own one?

I've never been owned by one but I hear they're wonderful cats. Congratulations! If possible, please post a photo. What are you naming the kitty?

My sister did, and she was just the best cat. I wonder why the official cat organizations won't recognize tuxedo as an official marking?

Thank you for offering your time and love to these loving animals. I'm sure Olivia will bring many smiles to your family.

One of our males, who was born outside of our home, is a tuxedo. He was born with 7 other siblings, which we were able to adopt out to good homes. His mom is an "all black" kitty, and we brought her in also to join our large indoor only feline family. His name is Cruiser, and he is a true black color, not auburn when in the sun, as is his mom. He is definitely a character for sure and were it up to him?? He would love it to be only him and mama in our feline family.

Yes, I owned one......he came to our house and adopted us......must have been let out on our street and didn't know how to get back home. He was about 7 at that time. Named him "Boots". Must have been raised where there was a dog because he would come to me when I whistled for him like I would a dog, and he always came running. He was one of the sweetest cats you could have ever wanted. He had a severe thyroid condition when he passed, and boy that was one sad day. Still miss my "Bootsie".......
