former host Patti Reilly has written a book

I'm a little disappointed because I was hoping it would be a behind-the-scenes tell all. 😂

Instead, it appears to be a workbook format and designed to be a "brand identity guide."  It's called Built for Connection, a brand strategy guidebook for businesses who want to "hone in on what makes your brand unique & irresistible above the competition."  She shares her signature formula, Brand DNA, and refers to herself as "a Master Brand Storyteller."

D=Discover:  The Core of Your Brand's Identity

N=Narrate:  Is Your Website Committing These 3 Fatal Communication Errors?

A=Attract:  Create Brand Love & Loyalty When You Think Like The Customer

Sounds like it would be a good stocking stuffer for QVC's CEO Mike George. 🤔

On the book's promotion page, it says she "broke a QVC record, selling $54k/min in a 2-hour Beauty Show, contributed to the growth of a $200 million/year beauty company that was later purchased for $1.4 billion."  I didn't realize she broke any selling records while at QVC.  Anybody remember that?

She's also been working on a Mindset Journal if anyone's interested.

Actually, I just took a closer look, and it appears she's got a book, Built for Connection, plus the companion guidebook coming out.  Looks like she's been busy.

@Love my grandkids I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I feel like she's better than some of the current hosts on Q.  It will be interesting to see how her book turns out.  Might have something good in there for a small or new business owners/managers.  I'm curious, though, about her upcoming mindset journal because developing a growth mindset is a trendy topic in education.

Re: former host Patti Reilly has written a book

While I didn't mind her as a host, she didn't strike me as a ground breaking anything.  Having said that, she has been gone a long time and I am sure she put all things QVC behind her.

That would be the healthy thing to do in my opinion.

I wouldn't expect any tell all books from any of them.

As I have said about most places I have worked "I could write a book"  I am sure we have all said that.

Oh brother.  Most of them think they have all this wisdom and inspiration to pass on to us.

Hey, I guess if people buy her books, she is the one laughing all the way to the bank.

I was sorry when Patti was gone from QVC, way more than any of the more recent losses.  I don't need a book on any topic, but I wish her well.

Re: former host Patti Reilly has written a book

I liked Patti Reilly! She was ambitious, professional, soft-spoken and yet was among the top salespeople at QVC. She had a gorgeous complexion, beautiful thick hair and worked so hard to slim down while working at QVC.

Her initiative has always been far more than that of a salesperson . . . and she has proved it in her life as a speaker and consultant. QVC was simply a stepping stone for Patti, which she used to her advantage with her goals in mind. She was keeping her future in mind and knew what she really wanted.

I doubt she's ever looked in the rearview mirror! She's doing so much better than most of the former hosts who remain stuck in sales. I wish her continued success.

The only host to write a "tell all" book was Kathy Levine. It sold only on QVC, which was a limited audience. I read a copy many years later; it was not well written and largely meme. Typical Kathy gossip-type stuff, although it must have been true, which could be cruel at times IIRC and IMO.

Money screams; wealth whispers.
