DH's Great Grandson is here and in an effort to keep him busy, he's been playing Candy Crush on my IPad. He's careful, and that's not the problem. He had permission to buy some of the "boosters" when he needed them. He did it quite well the first few times, but then he tried and got a hung up situation. When he tries to open the game now, he gets the usual mini screen that says "Color Bomb" "Start the game with a Color Bomb" Then a small constantly rotating circle, under which is says "Still waiting for an answer from the App Store . . .
Any time he tries to open the game again, this comes up and blocks his entry. I've been able to get him in by starting him off in another game and then switching.
But how do we get the darn thing to get the payment out of the App store, or how do we get rid of it altogether so we can start over. **There is no problem with money in the account. I have checked all that out, and there's plenty for whatever.**
If anyone knows how to help, we'd be ever so grateful.

you might have to open it and let it sit till it loads.............or until you get a prompt........you might also try rebooting (turning the system off then restarting it)......................raven

I don't know what to tell you. I play Candy Crush on my IPad, and it's become addictive, but I refuse to buy any boosters, extra time, or new levels. I'm glad you said something about the problems, because then I will never be tempted to buy anything. The game is mindless as is Cookie Crunch, and I waste too much time on both of them when I am trying to avoid other tasks. It did come in handy when I had Mohs surgery the other day because you have to wait for lab results. It kept my mind off possible bad news. I'll ask around and see if anyone knows how to solve your problem.

you know there is a daily spin where you get free stuff..........if you don't look up at the upper left hand corner and you see a wheel of fortune type thing, click it then play..........................raven

Try closing the app. Double click the home button, then you will see all apps open in a smaller version. Scroll through with your finger until you find the candy crush app. Put your finger on it, and at the same time push up. This will close the app. To get out of this mode, click the home button once, or just tap the small version of the home screen when you see it.
Give it a minute, then open the candy crush app again from the regular screen.
Not sure if you know about closing apps. In the event that you don't, you should always try to close any open apps that are not in use. This saves battery, as well as space, and your iPad will run better.

Thanks everyone. I'll try anything at this point. The young man is usually a delight to have around, but he's been a royal pain since this happened. Youthful frustration I guess. Hope I can get it "fixed" soon as DH says he's about ready to send him packing!! We love him, though.
Any more suggestions would also be appreciated. I'm going to try Lynnj's suggestion now.

Lynnj - Thank you a million times!! You have saved me from a very very frustrating day.
Your suggestion worked beautifully. Things are working now and/ I am soooo grateful!. Now I can have a peaceful day. Please know that neither Apple, ITunes or ATT would help me with this issue, and no one particularly wanted to do so.
Again, thank you sooooo much.
