My sister notified me that they have 1/2 to 1 inch of snow with more nearer mountains in upper east TN.  It's very windy and sunny in upstate SC with wind gusts of 26mph! Is 42 but feels 33 due to wind. We just had 8 trees removed so hopefully we won't have more falling. Small limbs are falling all over.

We, in the desert Southwest, had a snowfall about two weeks ago.  I got about 6" at my house.  The mountains had enough that they were able to open ski resorts early.  It didn't help our severe drought which has been ongoing since 2000.

Funny that we'd have snow before the normally colder parts of the country.

We haven't seen any snow yet in RI, I know there is some north and west of us happening today.  We finally had some much needed rainfall in this area, a little over an inch which doesn't help a lot with our drought but it's better than none!   It's quiet now around 50 degrees but it's supposed to rain again this afternoon, storm is just circling around the northeast.   Nights have been in the 30's and 40's.

I'm looking forward to our first snowfall and I am really hoping (& praying) for a white Christmas this year.

Yes...those NY fires are very alarming!

I have now seen Erie in several seasons!

For the first time ever, last winter, I saw the rocks along the lake costed in ice several inches thick!

What a sight!

Actually, here in SE Louisiana we're not in drought condition this year.  There have been a couple of times in the past few years that we've had pretty severe drought, including the summer of 2023 when I lost a lot of plants.  But 2024 has been good to us precipitation-wise. Of course for us it's rain, not snow.

Sorry to hear that @monicakm .  I guess we need to send some NOLA rain northwest to you!

Here, in Central NJ, it's 54°. Too warm for snow. 😆

I say Let It Snow...somewhere else! Haha

my friends in SW lower Michigan where we came from, have posted pics on fb of the first snow. Looks so pretty.
Here in the Tampa Bay area, it's 74 degrees and sunny. I love winter now. 😁
