finding phone numbers

[ Edited ]

Without having a phone book, how to do that?

@goldensrbest, I recycle all the phone books that show up in my mailbox or at my doorstep. I rely solely on my iPad to find the numbers I need.

Google?

I don't even have a phone book.

I googled "White Pages" to find several addresses and phone numbers yesterday.  It worked for me in Minneapolis.

@goldensrbest

Dialing 411 still works.

Landline phones - FREE!

Cell phones - Will cost ya.  However, you can "negotiate" w/your carrier if you plan on using 411 a lot.

We still get phone books (white & yellow pages) delivered right to our front door twice a year in my neck of the woods.  The books are from Verizon.  They are smaller in size now.  About 1/2 the size from the original size.

We use to get one from AT&T.  Haven't seen them for a few years now.

@goldensrbest, you use to google people's name, but not anymore, they want you to pay for it, there use to be White Pages online, but no longer exist, very frustrating!

I googled my name and got my phone number, email address, some previous addresses, ex husbands name and all his relatives, my now husbands addresses when he was a child. Maybe they will have my dinner menu for tonight soon.
