Someone else is probably thinking you have some wonderful taste and they are loving their new headboard.
Years ago I had a huge box of Longaberger baskets go missing that were being delivered to me via UPS. I had a party so it was everyone's order. UPS insisted they delivered it to me and left it on my front porch. They did not. I think they delivered it to someone with my same house number but different street and that person kept the entire order.
I'm not sure how it was replaced. I complained to UPS and in a couple of days I had my new order on my front porch.

It is a headboard -- not a child. While it is frustrating (I completely understand that), if it cannot be found, the company should replace it or refund your money. There are so many things to worry about in life, please do not let this be one of them.

I bet it was delivered somewhere else and it wasn't scanned.
Hope whoever has is, alerts FedEx.
Can you order another one?

My guess also is that it was mis-delivered. HP shipped me an item on Thursday via Fedex. Delivery was scheduled for Friday. Tracked the package Friday morning and it was out for delivery. Checked again later in the afternoon and got a "delivery exception" notice claiming that delivery was attempted but I wasn't home. (No signature was required, by the way). I was home the entire day with the front door open, but for the storm door. During the 2nd phone call I made to Fedex, they said they'd contact the driver and I could pick up the package. Whoa! No thanks, I said. I want it delivered. They said it was too late for a redelivery that day (it was about 4:00PM, by then). I said Monday would be fine, but that I'd be contacting HP to be sure that they weren't charged for overnight delivery. Miraculously, within minutes of the call, the Fedex guy came to my door. He apologized and said that he had left the package (I believe he meant the exception notice) at the wrong address. I've never had very good luck with FedEx.
