Evidently the makers of some electriic car makers are warning the owners to park their cars outdoors, rather than in the garage, because of their tendency to BURST INTO FLAME WITH NO WARNING? at least if it's parked at the curb the house won't burn down
Wow, what a "whoops"!

I was watching a program abt solar flares . It mentioned something that happened in Canada in 1989 . So, as the old saying : Don't put all your eggs in one basket ".
" On March 13, 1989 the entire province of Quebec, Canada suffered an electrical power blackout. Hundreds of blackouts occur in some part of North America every year. The Quebec Blackout was different, because this one was caused by a solar storm! "
" Geomagnetic storm of 1859, also called Carrington storm, largest geomagnetic storm ever recorded. The storm, which occurred on Sept. 2, 1859, produced intense auroral displays as far south as the tropics. "

This is another reason I don't want an electric car. If the govenment is so adamant about everyone getting one, they need to fix all the problems first.

@GoneButNotForgotten Sorry but I don't find this funny at all. Remember a few years ago when battery-operated skate boards were bursting into flames in peoples' homes?
Certain types of batteries are potentially very dangerous.

Last week the national news reported on electric cars catching on fire. Has something to do w/their batteries.
GM & Tesla have recalls on their electric cars.
Nothing about the fires starting in garages. The news did mention one man's car caught fire while driving!
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

Funny? Seriously? Get a laugh out of someone's house burning down?

Not funny at all!

Last week I was reading instructions for a flashlight & batteries and the warning was pretty surprising ..... it said all caution must be taken so that a little teeny lithium battery wasn't accidentally swallowed because it could cause VERY serious injury and death within 2 hours because it could tear a hole in the esophagus.
Talk about scary ....... who wants this kind of thing in their home?
