I too like paranormal type shows. My favorite was ""Ghost Hunters International"".

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

I know what you are saying about creepy. Once we lived in a company rental house in another country and I could not use the far rear bathroom (close to the neighbor's house) because it was sooo cold (and this was on the equator). I mentioned to the lady next door and she said she was having problems in that side of the house too. Then we found out we were living over a graveyard. Never went in those rooms again.

Faith and belief can be a very powerful thing that can cause any number of not so unusual situations to be interpreted as paranormal in a believer's mind. The stronger the belief, the stronger the interpretation. The power of prayer for example. Or even mind over matter.

True, so much may be explained scientifically, but some not so easily. I have had some things happen that are inexplicable and make me wonder. But I don't question , I may not like the answer.

As for ghosts, I personally don't think humans leave their spirits behind. Perhaps there is a part of their essence? energy? that lingers and that some others still here can feel. I think all earthly things pass away from us when our time is up, and in its place is free, pure and uncomplicated joy that is difficult to conceive of while here in our confined earthly bodies.

I believe in it too spookyghost. When I first got married we lived in an old house and I always felt there was something or someone in the bedroom. Whenever we go away and spend the night in a hotel I sometimes feel there is something or someone in the room also.

My grandma was great at telling us stories about weird things happening. They used to lay people out in the living rooms of those houses .

I believe in some of it, not everything. Two who have passed away have let me know they are ok, and if this hadn't happened to me personally, I probably would be skeptical. I have gone to see John Edward and I have to say I don't believe him. As for only being interested in things within scientific laws .... aren't those the people who say we came from apes? I don't believe we came from apes.

Thanks! I'm going to go DVR it! I posted not too long ago but something must have happened because its gone. Shoot. I will repost tomarrow. Just a quick thanks to all your responses. Loved them all! Its nice to hear from other people who believe and/or had some experiences. And to the people who don't believe I completely understand. I also love watching monsters and mysteries in america and anything on Bigfoot, mothman, urban legends. Etc. We just came back from Acadia Maine. Had a great time, except for the house!, but I joked around to dh that it would be great if while we were video taping if we got bigfoot in the back ground! Haha. But hubby and my son were watching a documentary on these hikers from Siberia around the 1950's that were found dead and they didn't say it was Bigfoot but they did a very good job of giving good evidence that it could have been. It was the most realistic documentary I have ever seen. Dh and ds said the same. They don't believe in Bigfoot bu they both said that the evidence and documentary itself was actually the most realistic one they have watched yet. And it did captivate them. Did anyone else see it?

OK. Did not mean the double post! Ha. Sorry! Lol Bigorangekitty-20/20 is about the nanny who wouldn't leave. Im recording it anyway just in case its wrong. There have been times where I tried to record finding Bigfoot and the treemaster was on! That bummed me out! Thanks for the heads up. Maybe the nanny show will be wrong.

Spooky - the first segment was about the nanny, just watched the haunted house one, next is something about kids partying, but the online tv guide said it was ghost parties.
