Hey there....I started this, as we were going so off topic on the other thread.

I just checked with my mom....My grandfather was born in 1893 and was 89 when he died. His last name began with a P........I'm sure I found his name on one of the ship rosters from Ellis Island. The spelling was slightly off (as many of them were) but, the other details matched. He was 15......went to CT to live with his brother (and worked on an estate as a caretaker/landscaper) when he first got here and then ended up on Long Island.
