decorating the bathtub???

We recently stayed with some friends for a couple of days. She is an amazing decorator and they have a lovely warm home. The guest bathroom was all very nicely decorated but I didn't know what to do with all the statues and plants and even a beta fish in a bowl that were all around our tub so we could shower. I asked our hostess and she said move them but in a small bathroom I was confused where to put them all. I have a few items in our guest bath but they are all waterproof ( seashells) so they don't need to be removed to take a shower and I only have a very few in there. What do you all have in the guest bath room to decorate it?
