It it depends on what you prefer. Disney cruises are nice, non stop food, great entertainment. Also lots of children on Disney cruises. I went in May. Did I say non stop delicious food? Castaway Cay is Disney's private island. It is beautiful.
Saratoga Springs is a beautiful hotel. It is walking distance from Downtown Disney. Also free shuttles to the parks. Their main pool is awesome. When I walked into the lobby to check in a greeter was there to say "Welcome home".
The parks should not be crowded the first two weeks.
If if you go to Disney, be sure to see the Festival of Lights at Hollywood Studios. It is really something to see.
Whatever you decide you will have a wonderful time. Enjoy!

I know a lot of adults are huge Disney fans and love Disney World. The first week in December is one of the least crowded weeks in the park.
If I were taking a short cruise, a Disney cruise would not be my first choice. Our son and his family (4 children 10 and under) went on one last year. The kids loved it. Our son and DIL loved the fact the kids loved it. Shortly after they returned, they took a short vacation without their children so they could recover from Disney.

If I had no kiddies with me, the cruise would be my choice. Why go to Disney with no kids???

i would pick the cruise hands down. so much to do and disney is geared towards children for the most part.

I don't think you will go wrong with either.....The Disney ship has areas for adults without having the kiddos running around.
If you decide on the parks...Stay at the Grand Floridian.....just beautiful there..

While en route to a conference in L.A., I went to Disneyland with 3 other middle aged women. We totally had a ball.

I've been on a Disney Cruise and enjoyed it because of having grandchildren with us. I would never go without children. The adult pool is postage stamp size and there are young families around every bend. No casinos either.
i would pick another cruise line for an adult trip. Princess and Holland America are very nice 'adult' lines.
i live near Disney World and can tell you that Thanksgiving through New Years is very very crowded - long lines and lots of traffic. The good thing is the temperatures are cooler and the parks are beautifully decorated.

I would never cruise on Disney because of all the kids.

I would fly directly to Disneyworld/Disneyland.
