Anyone have a coffee maker they really like and would recommend?

I had one of the new Farberware electric ones which didn't last like the old ones use to. When this one died after a year I tried a Hamilton Beach electric one and now it's going after approx. a year.

I thought I might try a Bunn but reviews seem to say they don't make them like they use to.

ETA: They don't make lots of stuff like they use to!

After our Kitchen Aid gave us trouble last week, I went to Target and bought a Mr. Coffee. Not the basic model, but it has a timer and a water filter and so far so good. And Target was offering a $10 gift card if you bought it. I don't drink coffee and my husband wasn't interested in a Keurig or lots of bells and whistles.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Mr. Coffee is fine for our household (sounds like the same one gidget got). We just want a good pot of coffee, we expect no more from our coffeemaker {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} They usually cost around 25 bucks or so and last a few years. I clean it now and then by running a pot of white vinegar through it - then pour the hot vinegar down the kitchen drain that has baking soda in it - double duty!

ETA, My husband is never without a cup of coffee by his side (reheats it often in the microwave but always has one nearby. )Decaf as he has medical issues that require him to avoid caffeine - but he looooovvvveeeess his coffee.

I bought a Bunn from QVC (K121122) and I've had it about 6 months now. I love it. No problems, the coffee is HOT. I've done all the Mr. Coffee models and I could never get more than 9 months to a year out of them.

This looks like one I was looking at in Wal-Mart yesterday.

HOT is great, which is why I used to like the Farberware electric pots so much but then when they were no longer make in the US, the quality went downhill.

I am on my 2nd Mr. Coffee......have had this one at least 5 years now. It's simple to use and I do keep it cleaned out......and I am a coffee drinker......so mine gets regular use.

I have a Cuisinart somewhere in my garage and it wasn't bad but doesn't really keep the coffee hot.

I had at least two Bunn's and they each lasted over 5 years each. Every so often you need to ""snake them out"" with this long spring/coil looking thing that comes with it. Or at least it use to. I bought my parents one too back when and I think it lasted almost 10 years. And they were ROUGH on coffee makers and had never owned one it seemed that lasted more than a year. I think some of the inner workings are now NOT all stainless like they use to make.

I love my Cuisinart Kcup . . . brewer . . . but when the in-laws visit I drag out the old Grind & Brew Cuisinart . . . has the built in grinder and the stainless carafe. The Cuisinart warranty is usually double that of many other brands. I think the newer kcup one is triple that of Keurig but not 100% sure on that . .. I gave my daughter my old Stainless one for college and I bought a new one that is all black well except for the ""blue lights"".
