I am so thankful that today my house is still standing and my kids are safe and healthy and myself came thru the tornado yesterday. We were down in the basement in a closet under the stairwell of our home. I had a flashlight laying on some Christmas decorations so we could see, I had my arms around my girls so tight one of them began to cry she was scared. I could start to hear the hail coming down then the train sound and I remember saying OMG it's here!!!! the girls were screaming and I was saying lord just don't let my arms get from around these two babies, then just like that it was quite... I took a deep breath and open the door and we walked out back and all I could smell was the scent of pine from where all the trees are down..

One by one my neighbors all were in the road looking around and we gathered to see if everyone was on and what the damage was to our neighbor hood and with the grace of God all we have are trees every where down... shutters blown off some house and a lots off debris, I found today home work from some school I never heard of and pieces of tin off roofs and lots and lots & lots of insulation all over the ground. Lots of roofing shingles we picked up also..

Again, I am so thankful for my daughters and our home coming out of this with very minor damage to what I saw on the news when I got power. We Alabamians are strong and we will recovery. As I watch the news and see what happen in Tuscaloosa and Pleasant Grove my heart breaks for those people and families looking for love ones. I saw on the news that a family from Texas was on a plane down to T-town AKA Tuscaloosa to look for there daughter... how awful to not be able to find your child in all that or know where to start to look...

I know some could careless what happen here and some have said prayers and those are much welcomed and appreciated please contuine to pray for our states not just Alabama but all the other Southern States that got hit..
