to count steps and calories. I lost mine last Monday when out and was thinking of upgrading to the 24 hour one that you wear on the wrist.

They sell it here at QVC. Not sure how competitive the price is. Kristen presented it with the rep last Saturday...I think it's somewhere near $100. Good for you for wanting to best track your health with one. From what you know, do you think $100 is a good price?
ETA: You might want to post over in the health and wellness forum if you haven't done so. There are some really smart helpful people over there.

I thought it was just people sensitive to metals, but, There could be a recall going on... will have to keep updated on the issue. Thanks!

Go to Amazon and read the reviews before you commit to FitBit, there are other brands that do the same thing that may be better and/or cheaper.

the original that just counts calories and steps cost about $60.00. I think it motivates you to want to do more. Yes. The wrist - fitbit force- costs about $100.00 you wear while you sleep as well as all day. It lets you know how your sleep is. I would think this would be interesting to add. I think there is a recall as the other poster brought up an issue with a rash for some people who wear it. I will probably just purchase the small fitbit again to replace the one I lost and wait until the issue with the Fitbit FORCE( the recalled one) is figured out.

I was interested in the sleep aspect because my sleep has been goofed up. My Dr referred me to a pulmonary Dr. I asked her what she thought about the fit for tracking sleep. She basically didn't think much of it. I'm getting a fit through work, but have to wait until the end of the month. I still plan to checkout the sleep feature anyway. From what I've seen, they are $100. Ebay may be worth checking out. There are threads here thst talk about the rash. I took it that it's not a common reaction.

I have a jawbone one. The sleep setting doesn't seem to work well on it.

The cheapest option for a fit bit type device is the Nintendo Wii U Fit Meter. It's only twenty bucks. Of course you'd also need a Wii U and the software which adds substantially to the price. I've got one and it's pretty neat. It records your steps, changes in elevation, level of exertion, etc. You can plot your daily activity on the Wii Fit U software. It's pretty neat and well executed and even if I lose it at $20 it's not devastating.
