I'm not sure of the intent of this post.  Everyone's happy for him but "near remission" does not mean he's in remission.  Actually, in medical terms it doesn't mean anything.  There is no such thing medically as "near remission".  I think he meant to say that he is responding incredibly well to treatment.  The treatment is working.  Everyone read it and was happy for him.  Did YOU post something when the story first appeared????
