Re: are you truthful in polls?

I can't hardly get them to take no for an answer when it comes to solicitations. So for me, it is easy to just not answer. A few years back I quit caller ID as I thought it was silly to pay at that time almost 20.00 a month . . . but I added it back after a fairly short time . . . cheaper in the long run . . . the start out with Platinum level and work their way down to like Silver and then a "small" 20.00 donation. I don't like being rude or hanging up on them . . . like my Mother-in-Law does . . . as they are just trying to make a living and either volunteering or whatever . . . but man are they ever persistent!!!

The worst is when the nearby CITY fire department calls . . . and I try to tell them thanks but no thanks and I make my contributions to the LOCAL rural volunteer fire department . .. the ones who will be the ones to actually show up and put out a fire . . . as they are 20+ miles away in the city and the house would be burnt to the ground by time they showed up but they DO NOT make rural calls. But they keep calling. That and to buy concert tickets . . .and then give the tickets back scheme. Nope . .. they offer to sing but tell me I'd probably rather donate than hear them sing. Like I said, it hard telling them all no . . . but I can only say Yes to so many and prefer to do it on my own time and not on a random phone call.

Rant over. Smiley Happy

sabotage? By this time they are intrusive especially the ones who come to the door. I feel no need to contribute to the hate ads.

Re: are you truthful in polls?

Nope, don't even talk to them.

I have considered telling my "party" that I'm voting "independent" because they won't stop calling me. I'm not joking.

So tired of all the stupid!

Tons of trees must be dying just so they can fill the mailbox. There's got to be a better way. Everyone gets so tired of the constant "in your face" with mail, phone calls, personal visits whatever. Makes me think why believe polls?

I don't answer them anymore. I don't trust the person who is asking is who they pretend to be. Also what they are using the information I give them for?

I never answer the phone if I don't know the person or number calling...and I also never do surveys or polls in the public. I don't do the receipt surveys to win prizes or money, they just want to track you. If I want to win something, I'd just play the lottery.

Is this a poll question??{#emotions_dlg.laugh}{#emotions_dlg.devil2}

Ditto! And if this is a poll question, we just broke our own rules! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Re: are you truthful in polls?

Since Caller ID I don't answer the phone for anyone I don't know and I've never been asked who I voted for in any exit polls. ALL political literature doesn't even make it inside the house - I toss it in the recyclable bin cuz they ALL lie about each other.
