OK How should I have worded it?

Sad thing is this could bankrupt Mrs. Prindables and I doubt there is a problem with them.

At any rate, I'm not buying them

I saw this on tv. How awful to happen. Especially around the holidays.

I just sent an email to mrsprindables.com, about canceling my order. Their live chat is down at this time.
If this was going to me....I'd probably let it go through. But my daughter's health has been kind of fragile, and she's just about to go ahead and move cross-country. I'd rather she not take the chance of eating something that could be tainted.

But would you send them to one of your children as a ""gift""? I can't do that.

I guess the Q is going to be giving out a lot of refunds and credits.
I hope nobody gets sick from them.

It doesn't include Mrs Prindables.
This is from the Kitchen & Food forum:
Statement issued by Mrs Prindables Friday, December 19, 10:19am:
The Center for Disease Control has reported an outbreak of listeriosis linked to commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples. Two suspected brands have been identified by the Minnesota Department of Public Health. The Mrs. Prindable's brand was NOT on that list of affected brands nor has any agency contacted us regarding our products. Our food safety team is monitoring this investigation closely.
Mrs. Prindable's cooks our own caramel from scratch, using the finest ingredients, to strict quality control standards in our own kitchens.
