Simply beautiful.  Love seeing the people's house decorated for the holidays.  BTW, ALL our first ladies have been classy in their own right.

Enjoying the beautiful house, the decorations and the sprit of the season seems indicated. Perhaps that could remain the focus of this nice thread, leaving animosity and partisanship at the door...

It is a beautiful old house and each year the First Ladies their staff and volunteers do amazing things, some years more than others, depending on one's taste. The Green Room is my personal favorite room in the White House and I'm anxious to see how it's been decorated this year. The Red Room is always pretty too, and, of course, very seasonal... The Blue Room, China Room and the Vermeil Room are also usually done very nicely, along with the East Room... and, of course, so many other areas.

The small trees positioned in the middle of the Green Room and the Red Room is a bit of a departure, I think. I like the look.

The National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

"The White House will welcome the 2017 holiday season with the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on November 30th. Tickets were distributed by lottery in mid October.

The 2017 lighting ceremony will air on Hallmark Channel on Monday, December 4. "
