I know it has been brought up here on the boards before, but I was just thinking about this, and I became curious about something. A lot of food items came in sizes and weights most of us can remember, such as 5 lb. bags of sugar, 12 oz. bags of chocolate chips, 18 oz. jars of peanut butter, etc., but I was wondering about the original sizes of other things, too.
Candy bars, in particular, come to mind (even though I seldom buy them), so I thought I would do a little investigating, just for the fun of it. I picked the year 1983, as that is the year I graduated, and I tried to find out what the original size and/or weight of a snickers bar was back then. I couldn't find any information. I've tried looking up other candy bars, too, without any luck.
Does anyone know if there is a way to find this information out. As I said, it's just for the fun of it, but now I'm curious.
