? about Kindles please...

My mom has one and has a book I want to read on hers. She will of course give me her kindle to read it if I want, but I know she uses it daily and I hate to take it from her.

I am getting a Kindle soon. Can I read her book on mine?

I read somewhere you can put 6 kindles on an account. What does that mean? I would have to have her account info to read it?

Can she "loan" it to me like you get loans from the library?

I'm confused. Thanks.
