I know several people in their mid-80s who drive vans. It always seems to ludicrous to me. None of these people seems to need all that room to lug anything around: it's just the driver and maybe one other person.
Anyway, I was mentioning this to a friend, wondering if it wouldn't be easier for older people to use cars instead. She said it was a lot easier to get inside a van than a car.
I disagree. I'm in the mid-60s and always find getting into a van a challenge--it's like climbing steps that are too big.
I would appreciate some opinions on this!
