a QVC buyers were super busy ordering stock before the pandemic

I'm always looking at what comes into stock on the Q. Before the pandemic, tons of new stock from every department was coming in. I noticed a gazillion artificial plants, plenty of furniture, shoes, baby items, toys..so many toys you'd think Q bought out Toys R Us. So much new stuff. I don't think much of it was  intended for on air presentations. Q was gearing up for online retailing to the max. At the time, the economy was growing and it looked like Q was trying to grow sales in every category. I think the pandemic has hit Q hard and I think that this glut of stock just can't move right now,  so it's really hurting Q financially.

@Mindy D I think that's true for QVC and many more.  Except for Walmart. Amazon, and Target, I'm not seeing any of the financial analysts promoting any retail.  Pretty much the opposite -  lots and lots of retail looks to be heading into oblivion.  Hard to tell what will be left.

@millieshops @For a shock, take a look at how many artificial plants Q has on the website. You won't believe it.

@Mindy D Will take a look but I have no idea what was there last year or 5 years ago, so I don't know that it would shock me.

I don't remember ever looking for artificial plants online anywhere. Once in a while I see a plant that I have to touch to know whether it's real or artificial.  That's the only fake I want to own.

I have a vague recollection of recently reading some from Mike George about a change in direction toward more home goods and work at home items.

The eyes through which you see others may be the same as how they see you.
