Just want to give comment on the great service I received. Was looking for shoes for my grandsons' upcoming wedding and since I am hard to fit (8 EE), decided to give this a try. First-time buyer. Placed an order for 3 pairs on a Thurs morning; box was delivered on Fri morning. Decided on one pair, returned the others (brought the box to UPS center) on Wed afternoon; was notified via email on Thurs afternoon (following day) that it had been received and my credit card was credited. Checked this morning and it, indeed, has been credited. Now, THAT's service!!!! And all with no S&H fees.

They do have great service, but like any other company they also make mistakes.

I'm wearing a pair of bone-colored New Balance which they sent me when I ordered white. I decided not to complain nor bother with a return. Their mistake turned out to be good for me that time.

I also love Zappos, but I do realize that the "free" shipping costs are hidden in their selling price.

I agree. You can frequently find the same item cheaper from a site that gives discount codes.

The overnight shipping does not apply to all items. Once it took 10 days to receive a bottle of nail polish. When I asked why I was told their primary business was shoes.

I also like Zappos. While I agree that free shipping isn't necessarily free, they offer all ranges of sizes/widths (of course depending upon the vendor) but still - regular dept. stores never carry my size.

You can also find great deals at 6pm.com - I believe that is a subsidiary of Zappos - really great discounts and also free shipping.

They've always had a great reputation for service. The only negative for them is that their prices are exorbitantly high. But it pays for the free shipping and free return shipping so it makes sense.

I wear a size 7.5W and you can't always find that size with certain types of shoes but, like Topaz said, they have a very wide range of sizes.

The company has a great reputation as a good place to work, too. I've never had a bad experience.

That's odd because the brands I buy are the same price in dept. stores. They just never have my 6-6/12 W.

Some brands cannot be discounted, too.
