Last night I put out an old snow thrower, broken shovel, and busted de-humidifier. Within 15 minutes there was the 'pickers' truck. They took it all. I was curious, and asked them how they got into the business. they said they are both laid off insurance company workers. Picking garbage is hard work, but they are making almost as much as in the corporate world.
What have you put to the curb and had picked? I have regretted tossing some stuff, but just as often was startled to see some other stuff taken.
