Your favorite line from a song

I was inspired by the movie line post and l wondered what your favorite line from a song was . Mine is from Taylor Swift's " All to well. "  You call me up again just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest.  Tell us your favorite line in a song.  There are so many and Ijust thought of another favorite from Mary Chapin Carpenter. " If am not the first , just say I'll be the last, it's too much to expect, but it's not too much to ask."

Re: Your favorite line from a song

@QVCkitty1   WOW! I almost dropped my coffee when I saw the line from "It's Not Too Much To Ask" by MCC.

I have loved that song (also credit to her duet partner Joe Diffie) from the first time I heard it.  As an album cut it probably isn't as well known as her hits, but you cannot go wrong with Mary Chapin Carpenter.

A line that I have always thought was a clever way to phrase a thought is  "It's heaven when you....find romance on your menu....What a difference a day makes,

and the difference is you."

Gosh, so many lines come to mind from my younger days, when I could actually hear and understand the words. The one that immediately comes to mind is from Jackson Browne's "These Days". My favorite rendition is from the Allman Brothers.

I had not forgotten them"
