@hckynut ,

I'm a little surprised at your fly by post. Blowhard? I don't see it. Opinionated?--Well, aren't we all?

I don't dismiss anyone unless they are toxic. I have very good radar for that.

Yeah, I too was confused by @hckynut 's  "Blowhard" post.   None of us except OP knows this guy.

My hubby got the vaccine but I am not going to. I am young (COVID Young) and have no preconditions. However if you have to be vaccinated for a flight or a cruise I will get it. Nothing wrong with changing your mind. He probably hush, hush because he was so anti and then caved. Big deal. My we have moved on from being offended to judging. What's next?

How did you find out?  And by "trying to hide it" - did he lie to you?

The lying would bother me.  The rest wouldn't.  People - even with strong opinions - with the right incentive - frequently change them.

@rms1954 I totally agree with @hckynut.  I imagine a guy who blah blahs on and on and really is a mush mind underneath.  It takes a guy to know a guy.

At first he might have decided not to get the vaccines because he was frightened of them, like many are and didn't want to admit that. Then, once he saw that his friends were all getting them, it gave him the courage to get them.  He might have been afraid after that to admit that after he gave it more thought, he realized it was a better option.  I wouldn't deem him to be unreliable or feel that he did not stick to his values over this.
