@SandySparklesI love this thread! Thank You for brightening the day!
I remember the beautiful horse on springs. and the warning " Remember to wear your slippers on that thing!" I was always pinching my toes on the springs! but it was worth it to ride my horse to adventure!
Does anyone remember Colorforms? Ah, the age of vinyl. little vinyl cut outs in geometric shapes you could stick to a smooth background board and stick em together to make little figures on the background.
One of my favourite gifts was from my uncle. It was a plastic "computer" that had questions on cardboard punchout slips that you put into the computer and it gave you the answer.
He was happy that I set to that game and ignored everything else until I was dragged away from it. ( yeah, I was one of those kids who read the Encyclopedia for fun. )
I have to say I don't think Any of us kids ever got anything we "Asked for" Santa brought what Santa brought. although Mom DID sit us all down with the Sears Wishbook to initial what we wanted. ( just to give her a moments peace I suppose!)
Such fun memories and recollections of family long passed. Thanks.
