My life has become very entertaining lately so I thought I'd share. ![]()
My employer removed the main program I use to service our customers.
Me: Can you please put back my program so I have the tools to do my job?
IT: Yes, we need to have someone restore that for you.
The next morning, an email was sent overnight to me that a man "Called several times to resolve the problem and kept getting her voicemail."
Man meet woman with access to caller ID ![]()
My reply: "Your missed calls were made at 1:35pm, 1:37pm, and 1:39pm. I was obviously away from my desk for that four minute period. Please call back today or email me if that is more convenient for you."
Wait for it....
I had a phone call and a resolution in five minutes time along with a beg for my approval to close out the help ticket and delete it. Yeah, I wouldn't want my boss to come across that on my daily job review either.
What the world of customer service has come to even internally..![]()
And how is your day going? ![]()

My office is in the midst of moving so I am working from home for the next week so our IT dept in Munich has been sending out phishing emails just see if anyone responds to them and notifys them. Because we don't have enough going on.

@AngusandBuddhasMom I have a word for that type of behavior but it would get me banned. Amazing the lack of respect towards good employees isn't it? Companies need to remember that people will live down to all kinds of expectations that they set for them. Better go back to the higher ones instead. That's where the employees are at.

We are testing some phone a friend, disaster notification thing today. Apparently my director will be phoning or texting managers who will in turn be texting direct reports and so on and timing it.
We were notified when the director will initiate contact. Right about the time my manager texts because I can guarantee you she will group text, I will be on the freeway heading home and I don't text and drive.
This is probably not going to go well.

@Bird mama Amazing isn't it? I think you need to lose brain cells to get ahead at most places these days. Us hard working ethical peons would make the world scary if we started running the place.
