When our 14 year-old grandson asks about when I was young? Then I have to pull up a picture of a pay phone And tell him how much fun we had at drive-in movies.

He really doesn't think I'm old, which is pretty cool.

When I think 'Gee I have to go upstairs to get 'this or that', and then I say 'Forget it. It's not worth all the trouble'.....

Unless Tom Cruise, George and Amal or the Kardashians are on the cover of a magazine, I don't know who the hello they are either! I still find it hard to believe it's 2017 too.

A few days ago, I went to Chase Bank to deposit 2 checks. The teller told me that I could swipe the checks from my mobile phone - and I said, "I don't own a mobile phone".

Today I went to the lab to have a test done. When I entered, they replaced the female at the front desk who tells u to sign in and copies ur medicare card --- with a device where u type in ur name, birthdate, if u have an appointment. I didn't know where to start - and there was a very nice elderly man with a cane waiting to be called. He asked if I needed help with this electronic device and I said Yes. He started typing in my information - and he told me that I'm only 3 years younger than him.

I'm still missing "real entertainment on tv" -- variety shows, ie, Steve Allen, Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin. Singers, dancers, comedians --- Rodney Dangerfield, Don Rickles, Jack Benny, Danny Thomas.

I used to enjoy those panel shows, ie, What's My Line, I've Got a Secret, etc. etc.

A few years ago, my friend asked me if I had a CD (she was 14 yrs younger than me). I said, "a Certificate of Deposit?" - she said, NO - a CD player.
