The tourists start leaving. The crowds diminish and traffic starts to break up - it's a good thing. School starts here next week.

Oh, please.  It's 8/17....lol   Halloween candy or not, there are weeks of summer weather left.   For me, Summer is offically over when it's too cold to wear sandals.  When my tootsies get cold, I know Fall has arrived.  That's usually mid to late October.
