OP Here.
I'm rather ticked right now, as I've been unable to read past Page 4. Get a message that my request is something like larger than the system can handle. What?
Anyway, really wanted to read what has arrived, now that my back spasms are better and I can tolerate being on the computer once again.
Hope you've all had fun with it.
Rebecca

Your car story is the best first car story ever. You are right, Nick Nolte was quite hunk back then.
Here is the trailer and your car is visible for a brief second or two at 59-60 seconds.

I bought this "great" car with my own hard earned money. It was bought from a private seller ( a mistake), my brother-in-law came with me to look at it. This was the first car I looked at, he didn't want to look at other cars, so I settled on this one. I always maintained that this car was good enough for me, but would never have been good enough for his sister. Karma came back on him because I would break down often with this car, and who do you think I would call for help, you guessed it, my brother-in-law! I never bought a used car again.
A 1980 Pontiac Sunbird was my first Brand New car bought with my own money at the age of 19. I was so proud of that car. Drove it for three years then moved on up so to speak. No problems with it at all. Did not like that it was only power brakes and not power steering. Somtimes turning the wheel was hard.

Hi Rebecca @sfnative,
A lot have been getting that message, me included. For me on my tablet these 2 things work. I close completely out of my browser(Firefox)/go to qvc.com and start over. OR/empty my Cache and History. Both have worked for me.
Sorry to hear about your back spasms, I can relate with my back history, but pain is different for each person, as we both know. Hope you keep feeling better.
I am still searching my computer and my boxes of old pictures, but unable to find my '50 Merc. Did find some of my "Mr. Clean III" taken at a Drag Strip, with me standing next to it. Also 1 of me next to my 1st Muscle Car, my new 1961 Ford Starliner, waiting in line to get into a Drag Strip. My only other Street Muscle Car was my 1962 Ford Galaxy Hardtop.
Will keep looking and posting a couple more in this fun thread you authored, and I thank you.
Be well my friend as much as possible, I am thinking of you,

My first car was a 1974 Mustang. It was ten years old when I received it, but I was so proud of that car. My parents bought both my brother and I our first cars. We had jobs to pay for gas and insurance, we were proud to be responsible for our cars. I remember crying when I sold that car and bought the next car myself after working at my real job for a few years. It was a 1992 Nissan 200SX, I was proud of that because I was very young and it was awsome I could purchase something like that at a young age, but nothing compares to that first pretty white '74 mustang. Oh the memories..

My first two seated sports car was a sport blule Toyota MR2. I bought it the first year it debuted in 1985. I loved that car and the way it felt to drive. I kept it 13 years and finally sold it when it became very hard on my back and knees to climb out of its extremely low chassis. It wasn't a Mercedes or Corvette, but it might as well have been. I had so much fun with that car!

My pictured 1960 T-Bird was light blue, as were most of my other new vehicles. Prettiest? I'll say my brand new 1970 Mustang Mach I, never a prettier car for me. Drove it for 10 years, with 3 different light blue paint jobs, different shades.
First after original I had a dark blue Metal Flake Racing Stripe over the Hood/Top and Trunk Lid. After damage from the 1975 Tornado here in town, had another shade of light blue. This time I had it painted with Flames on the way Hood and tapering down the Front Fenders and Doors. Beautiful paint job done by a Show Car Painter. Sold it in 1978 for way more than I paid for it brand new. Now? Seen them sell for over $100,000 at Mecum Auto Auctions.
