I hate for things to be hectic at Christmas. It's my favorite time of year. I want to enjoy every minute of the holiday season as relaxed as possible.

That's why I love Christmas in July. Last year I purchased gifts for several neighbors and friends, putting them away, wrapped and ready to deliver. Christmas 'giving' was a breeze.

Plus, I feel I've gotten some good deals on my July purchases by ordering early. Not sure how things will look this year, with rising costs, but I sure love my Christmas tree purchased a few years back in July. The price was great and I still love the tree.

Lastly, shopping early reminds me that the insufferable heat will come to an end soon. My favorite season will be just around the corner. I live for all the fall and winter holidays.

I do a lot of apples, Ivy, and pine cuttings, and pine cones in antique baskets and use candles.

Love it! My favorite time of year to watch QVC.

A much needed respite from the endless ugly clothing, shoes, handbags, beauty items and now, cheap jewelry (QVC used to have some really nice quality jewelry in years gone by).

It hasn't been as fun with the vendors not in the studio, and honestly I don't know what has taken them so long to get them back. In my world, people went to work every day during the event, and it's long past time to get the vendors back in studio where you can actually see the products better. I'm sure VPH would be glad to get her house back! lol

But you bet, I'm definitely ready!

Yes, I plan to get some food items. I like CIJ, and for all the people who hate the idea, I'm even happy my Hallmark Mystery & Movie channel is doing some Christmas programming too!

CIJ  could not be less interesting to me. I am in the process of trying to give most of my Christmas stuff to my kids....I sure don't need more.

@ValuSkr  You don't have to Christmas in July to see that. Look around you. Anywhere.

I'll drop in and watch here and there but won't be buying anything.  Will be on family vacation for Christmas this year and will be doing very little, if any decorating.  I don't want to have to deal with taking it all down and putting it away when we get back.

@proudlyfromNJ   Very true.  But CIJ is wall-to-wall China.  Smiley Happy
