Usually when I get emails stating I just won something I usually think it's a scam and don't respond. I got an email from the elf team stating I won a $100 in a sweepstakes to use on their website. I probably did enter the sweepstake, there is a certificate number and PIN number included. I'm wondering if it's on the up and up, I'm never lucky enough to win anything! I think I may try to use it but not through the email, I'll go to the website. What do you think, I don't mind getting free products from elf?

@Jordan2

I'd definitely go to the actual website or even call them to make sure this is legit.  DO NOT go through the EMAIL or LINK!!!

 Sounds as if they're trying to get your CC information.

I don’t even open the emails that look like scams. Yesterday I got one from store that I have credit card for asking for a reply. I called the number on my card and the lady said they’ve been getting a ton of calls about this phoney email. Scary if customers fall for it.

@Jordan2 If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

CALL them. It's likely a scam.

DO NOT click on links or use their email address.

E.L.F did have a sweepstakes that just ended May 30th. It was for Lip Oil for a year, awarded as a $100.00 egift card. There were 500 winners. Did you enter that one? You could have been a winner, but be careful just in case.

I filled out a survey for Spectrum but deleted it because it asked for information I didn't want to post...then I read that it was legit!

I think that is still a poor way to do business with so many scams on line just like it!

No way to verify it with the pop-up open!  Spectrum knows that!
