@Witchywoman The Denim & Co barn jacket!  Thanks for bringing up a good memory. I had that coat. It was medium denim with a corduroy collar.  Back in those days I had long coats I wore over the skirt suits and dresses I worked in. But the weekend belonged to the barn jacket.

There used to be someone who would post item numbers of antiquated garments that never sold, but Q held onto them, no matter what. It was quite comical. Am sure if we searched now, some of them are still around...😬

Speaking of long coats for work, I had every color of the perennial faux shearling coat.  I think it was its own brand, maybe?

Well, I kept those puppies in the closet and they all turned into their original plastic, no joke, like sheets of plastic--of every color.

Re: Yo, what gives?!

[ Edited ]

It does make me wonder why Q is not trying to boost their sales...with so many more shoppers at home now and more time to watch or shop...still sky-high shipping and sky-high clothing prices. I need nothing to wear now....I don’t even leave the house most days. I would like to be enticed, though.....

@KarenQVC

I was always tempted by those coats, but resisted.

Hearing that they turned to plastic now makes me happy I did.

Not to mention I looked like a Yetti when wearing anything puffy or shearling.  Cat LOL

@auntjoy036

I think this might be the last year for that barn jacket.

This past autumn, I bought two new coats online from Chadwicks of Boston.  They were going out of business and I paid under $20 for each coat.

Every time I think of getting rid of the thing, I get a little misty eyed...it has seen me through many a winter! Cat LOL

Just a little tip regarding the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale....a lot of the inventory that doesn't sell out (often, it comes back into stock) will be evenly more sharply reduced after the sale ends...usually September. I only buy what I really, really want during the sale and then I grab up the rest when it's further marked down.😁

I have always looked forward to the early access for the anniversary sale...this year I can’t think of anything I would need since we are pretty much locked down for who knows how long?

@KarenQVC  - by any chance were those the Centigrade Faux Shearling coats? I have (had) several of the long coats in chamois, black, dark brown and I think Navy, in a few sizes because I lost weight and then gained back a few. Those coats lasted forever. I think I still have the chamois hanging in my hall closet lol

I don't understand what you mean that they turned to plastic? Did the coats melt? That sounds hysterical! Can you take any photos?
