Yes, USPS Deliveries Can Get Worse

It sounds as though postal package service is about to get slower and more expensive.

It's my opinion that the new postmaster general has an agenda.

This story is perplexing..🤔 My shopping habits increased during this pandemic as a coping mechanism. This news, will ultimately influence my non-essential impulse shopping moving forward.

I find it quite interesting though, that this news comes at a time when brick and mortar stores are permanently closing- reducing our ability to shop locally.

I understand our postal delivery system is in crisis, and that you have to break a few eggs in order to make an omelet, but I wish that a more comprehensive, favorable resolution was attainable.

Keeping my fingers crossed,😊🤞

Re: Yes, USPS Deliveries Can Get Worse

If they have to stop at a certain time whether they are done delivering the mail and it waits until the next day does that mean I should be first to get my mail? My mailman is so inconsistent. One day he's at 2:00, next day it could be 5, next day it's 8. If it wasn't such a pain to change my address I would get a PO Box. As it is now, I only walk down to the mail box around 5:30. Unless it's something important if he hasn't delivered by then it waits until the next day until I'm in the mood for a walk in 115 degree heat.

Yes indeed , this appointee (Louis DeJoy) is a big time contributor from my home town and he is doing as he is told to do...   Well, not really my home town, but the town I've lived in for the last 50 years...

Art Sackler thinks USPS should be run as a service, not a business.  What are UPS and Fedex that offer a service if not businesses?

Maybe, if USPS was run like a business, some of their financial woes would be solved.

I don't agree with privatization at all.  That shouldn't even be on the table for consideration.

I think there's a great deal of inside inefficiency that should be looked at.  For example, my mailman takes his good old time.  Is so much overtime necessary?

I would be okay with no delivery on Saturdays.  That would save some money for the Postal Service.

I would rather that mail take a bit longer than their fees increase.  It is too expensive as it is to mail things, in my opinion.

This is not the time to be reducing service.
