Yes, I love to see these deer.  They are so peaceful to watch.  Every once in a while we see about 5 or 6 in our back yard.

I'm happy they gave you @suzyQ3 some comfort in the loss of your friend.  My deepest sympathy.

I am sorry, I have to speak up. Feeding this deer is not loving him/her. This animal will lose his/her fear of people and will be an easy target for hunters. This really upsets me.

I have to gree with @conlt   I have many deer in my yard also and they are not afraid of me.  BUT, I never try to feed them by hand as I was always told if they get used to humans they will walk up to a hunter and get shot.  I love my deer and want them around forever.  I just hope yours are protected in some way from the hunters.
