Yes, I have ordered fancy food from Swiss Colony just for Christmas every year for decades, especially petit-fours.

Now I also order some QVC items like wines and Lindor truffles (both for my husband).

@FancyPhillyshopper Have you tried SC chocolate covered pecans?  Got them for the first time last yr and they are delicious.  Trying to not get them this yr.  We'll see how long I can hold out.

I just made my holiday order of Sees  candy and it made me so happy. It isn't  just for us as we offer it to our holiday guests. I ordered an assortment and a box of my favorite dark chocolate scotchmallows. It's a once a year indulgence and I have zero guilt . Do you have a  once a year holiday favorite ?

@QVCkitty1

Growing up we had the every holiday treat of See's candies, it was traditional. The mixed nut milk chocolate box. Peanut brittle, scotchmallows like you, Victorian toffee and their lollipops.

The factory was in our town. Smiley Happy

I agree @UpNorthGorgy, those cookies are absolutely delicious! I also love when I can find them in seasonal tins from Germany.

Re: Yearly Treat 🍫

[ Edited ]

Pannettone, Williams Sonoma peppermint bark and cookies. Sees is a multi-holiday treat for us rationed piece by piece. Their peanut brittle is the best. Never found anything like it, and Collin Street Fruitcake from Texas.

Yes, I order from See's too. I get a box for my brother for Christmas. He loves them. I also like the dark chocolate myself and the dark peppermints.

I have not ordered mine yet. I am waiting for it to cool down a little here in NE Florida. We had a real cold snap a couple of weeks ago, highs in the 50's and now we are in the 80's again.

I am not complaining, but don't want my candy to melt.

This is the time of year absolutely love.  Making lists, to take advantage of great Black Friday sales.  Purchasing yearly traditional items.  We all have our faves.  Discovering new faves.  I really enjoy the planning, preparing.  Just the overall feeling, spirit of the upcoming season.

We just back from Pismo CA, no visit there is complete without buying Sees discount cards at Costco and then buying our favorites at Sees for family and friends. The only thing better would be if Giffords in Silver Spring was still around. They has the best candy and ice cream when I was growing up.

When I worked in-house at an ISV, we used to spend millions on advertising. Around the holidays, the vendor gifts (which were almost always sweets) would roll in. We used to receive way more than a marketing department of 15-20 could consume. In January, I couldn't even look at chocolate. We are in SoCal, so there were many huge boxes of See's..  I guess that was my yearly treat.

Most recently, my clients have sent me boxes of Levains, Best Cookies in the World, Laroolu, Proof, etc. By early December, I am all cookied out.
