Re: Yeah.........We Have Snow

Two peas, I do miss snow: I was always like a little kid when it snowed-I think I was more excited than my kids were when there was no school!

I'm coming to visit today: I'm bringing quintessential hot chocolate and some gooey hot cinnamon buns!  Oh, dinner, you ask?  OK! How about my pot roast stew made with Chuck roast and lots of yummy vegetables?  Sounds good to me!

Of course we should make cookies....or a nice Apple pie: nothing makes a house a home like Apple pie!

The best part about this??? Zero calories!!

Have a great daySmiley Happy

Re: Yeah.........We Have Snow

We've dodged some pretty big bullets.  Like the nor'easter a couple of weeks ago that could have easily dumped 20" of snow on us.  And several other rain storms which could have been snow.

We've had an unusually mild winter.  Had a couple days of really cold weather, but then the temps would rebound and it would be close to a high of 50 degrees.  Even today it's going up to 47.  Woo hoo  Smiley Very Happy

Hoping I don't jinx the weather....lol.  But I'm okay with this type of winter.  It wouldn't bother me if I never saw another flake of snow Smiley Happy

Enjoy yours!

Re: Yeah.........We Have Snow

I no sooner posted this picture that we lost power. Just came on at 4:00. I waited a couple of hours after dh went to work, then finally hooked up the generator. No power, no internet. Ugh. Anyway, I texted my neighbors after I got the generator going and told them to come down for breakfast and coffee and bring their phones or whatever else needed to be charged. My dh got home about 3:45, loaded up three empty gas cans, headed to the gas station, and he wasn't even to the end of the road and the power came on. Then, when I started the generator this morning the furnace wasn't working right, I knew right away that it was because we hadn't cleaned the filter recently. So, I'm in the basement with a flashlight trying to get the filter out to wash. No lights there because our generator only supplies our main floor. Finally, got that done and put back together. So, did I build a snowman? No, darnit !!

My son in WA just sent me a pic of the cars stuck in the snow on his street.  Snow would be fine if no one had to be on the road.
