Re: YOUR FIRST QVC PURCHASE & YOUR FAVORITE ONE?

[ Edited ]

Good question.  I'll have to go back and read the other comments.

But I'll bet jewelry could have been a first with me. Silver from the Arizona man.  Or a kitchen item.  Really don't remember.  But, I'm still using my lock and lock's, and that food chopper with the string in the top for veggies.  Loved the dishes from Tara, but don't use what I have. Gotten clothes from there too.

It looks like on the first page, jewelry won out.  LOL

My first purchase was a heating pad with a removal cloth to wet and slide inside the protective sleeve to give moist heat.  I still use it.  Gee, 25 years?  Q had only begun airing on my cable line up a  couple of months before.

My most used is a set of clothes dryer cleaning brushes.

Both presentations were given by small business entrepreneurs.  Boy the Q sure has changed over the years.  Seems to always be the same thing over and over.  I don't even watch it anymore, TBH.

Fun thread!

My first purchase was a turquoise and mother-of-pearl ring Toni Price was selling.  Still have it, and it has held up well.

My favorite is a two-tone Imperial Gold bracelet that Judy Crowell presented.  Love wearing that.

I can tell you this was my best purchase ever!  Reed and Barton 8 serving with all the serving ware flat ware set.  Hands down the best purchase I ever made.  Well over 30+ years old and still going strong with everyday use.  We were a young family and I was so sick of the flimsy, cheapo flatware.  I am so grateful I got the deal of the century, with this massive set.  Love!

My first purchase was either a 4 qt Nesco roaster or a  heart cut amethyst ring, in a sterling setting. My most favorite that I still use most everyday---is from the 50/50 tour in 1995--it is a bagle slicer--is wooden with a cutting board you can move up or down for different slice widths and came with a long serrated knife.--I think it was called Slices Perfect. and also the Fasta Pasta that I only use for

cooking pasta in the microwave

Re: YOUR FIRST QVC PURCHASE & YOUR FAVORITE ONE?

My first purchase was a Diamonique necklace.  I had never thought of tuning into qvc but admired a necklace on a coworker and she sent me there.  Still wear it today and that was 15 years ago.

My favorite is hard to say, but I bought some beautiful gold jewelry before prices skyrocketed.  Also love my polish stoneware from Zanger while it was on.  Still buying it today from other sources.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm passing on Ecclisi.  I think quality has dropped over the years.

I referenced Ecclisi because from what I remember, it was the only brand QVC sold that was all silver.  The watch I purchased from QVC was NOT made by Ecclisi.

I do think Eclissi made nice watches in the past, though, and I do have a few, but never saw any with as much silver and this quaility sold at QVC as the one I purchased in 1987.

Re: YOUR FIRST QVC PURCHASE & YOUR FAVORITE ONE?

I believe the first items I purchased were Denim and Co and I went by the chart and everything was too big.  Sent back.  Exchanged some but never ordered again.

I did order a black hills gold ring with 3 lovely diamonique stones.  That ring is lovely to this day.

I also ordered and Steel by Design gold tone heart with the Lords Prayer on it.  It is chunky chain which I love.  No tarnising at all.  They should have more variety in the steel by design line.  I have to wear durable pieces lol.  I am rough on jewelry
