Re: *Y&R GROUP DEC. 29th-Jan. 2nd 2015 **

yeah, stress eating is the big blocker. my knees hurt me so bad that's all the incentive I needed. I literally was down on the stairs not knowing how I was gonna pull myself back up (house up in Ind that was a 2 story) I had to do the butt thing don't know how I ever got back up to a standing position. That scared me bad enough that I made changes. Didn't want to be a broken down gal and my husband isn't compassionate at all he would walk around me instead of trying to help me. I had to do it for myself. He expects me to keep pulling the plow no matter what shape I'm in. When I fell from the hearth when I moved in to this new house (all one level)down here in Tx. I drove myself and with a cane took myself into the 24 hr care center and had the xrays, etc. ankle was big as a melon all he could say was don't forget to iron my shirts and when's supper. LOL I ironed sitting down and made sandwiches a lot. He's my biggest incentive I know I'm a woman alone. LOL

my sister went to weight watchers and they really helped her a lot. lost wgt and taught her new ways to eat. she loves to eat though and has a husband that would help her so she is not as strict as I am she gains it back then goes back but she can't keep off the fast food circuit and eats out of stress too. crying shame at our ages we can't enjoy life and have fun eating, but, alas, it gets worse when we age.

ask about a recumbent bike next time you go to Dr. that is not like a tread mill and hard exercise. I put mine in front of the tv/dvd player and hit it 30 min 3-4 times a week. takes the wgt and stress off your knees and you still get your heart rate up and tones up your legs doesn't burn out your knees like jogging, walking fast, etc.

Sharke, you are a lark and definitely have the right attitude. I can't believe, though that your husband let you drive yourself to urgent care, lol. But one of the things I learned in my little therapy sessions is that love is shoned in all kinds of ways. Your husband does things for you just by letting you have your way about some things that others might not. He accepts the fact that you can do it better.

A couple or three years or ago we came from our last Jamaica trip (Sandals, all inclusive eating) and I weighed 163. We came back on a Saturday and I was at WW that Monday. That was in July and by January of the next year, I weighed 117 and was below my goal which was 120 (I'm 5 ft tall). I hovered around 120 to 124 until my husband started having cancer issues. Now I'm at 160 according to my check up last week. I felt like crying when I got off the scale.

My physical therapist and I discussed a recumbent bike but I didn't get one because I'm knowned for buying exercise equipment and dvds and letting them gather dust. I can walk (since my knee injections) with no problem with sensible shoes. It's the stairs that I can't do well. Like you, I feel like crawling. And getting out of a seated position is difficult depending on how low the seat is.

You're right, with age we have to eat less and do more movement to even stay the same weight unless you have a great metabolism. If you're tall, it helps, too.

Oh, WOW!! Phyllis said that line reall well...."Hi, Witch". She said it so sweetly. I think we are getting into a fatal attraction here. I think panda or someone mentioned that before. There is no way that Kelly and Phyllis ended up with the same dress. I wondered why Phyllis kept her coat on and wrapped tightly. I think Phyllis wore it better being taller.

Speaking of puking, how about Victoria and Ben. Yaggg!!

Billy is sickening today. He doesn't like Gabriel....why? He doesn't even know except that he's sees a good looking guy talking to Chelsea. That hairpiece was sticking up a bit today.

These people love to leave their phones laying around don't they. Good thing Neil couldn't see that text.

He was at work, hun why he didn't take me LOL Even if he'd been home he'd been worried about the co pay payment even though we have insurance. Yeah, I b 'ed about him all the time, but, he's good at pumping gas (I don't pump gas) and some mechanical issues. When we get 'together' he can still get the job done LOL I'm cracking myself up here. He's good for some stuff yet. Shoot, been married for 43 yrs. Jan. 29th, to late to change now. Sure ain't gonna be one of those old chicks if I get widowed that says "I got to get married again don't want to be alone". You know what on that. I'll have to learn to pump my own gas LOL

I'm 5/5 and 170, but, people think I weigh lot less. I'm solid country girl maybe I'll send a pic and you all can be the judge. I probably weighed 210 or so when I started losing. I wouldn't look at the scale till after I'd dieted down to 190, then, I hit 170 and it seems to want to stay there. I ask the nurse if she thought I was fat and she laughed and said "why, no". So, you can't go by numbers it's how U look and feel. I'm a 'L' on the top and 12 on bottom, and at 63 I'll take it. I look better then most people my age. LOL

Glad I'm not short I'd have to eat like Susan Lucci !

Make a New Yr.'s resolution, Ms. Fox to aim for 150. 160 doesn't sound all that big anyway. I thought you might weigh a whole lot more. I was born weighing 150 LOL. I'm muscular . LOL

What about Victurdia and Ben on the couch with the blinds wide open? all the neighbors got their binoculars out and having their own new years treat. Her house is better then cable TV.

S*ex on the couch....the bed never gets any action, lol.

Yeah, I think it's a rug...it's too perfect and on the back around the area of the occipital bone, you can see where it's blended into his real hair.

160 is not too much less than 170 on my short from. I'm an everyday weigher when I diet. Starting tomorrow, I'll get on mine which is always 3 lbs less than the doctor's office and start from there.

Sharke you look fantastic!! You have given me the incentive to go back on WW. I lost 30lbs when I was with them ... I am 5ft 6in and weigh 220...I hide my weight well but the tummy is really getting out of control. I hate myself anymore.
