Stacy Dash is an actress who stated that the BET Awards and Black History Month should be eliminated.
Thank you, I didn't know that she had made that statement.

@Mominohio, words from a wise woman! When it was over, I thought, really? Although there were entertaining moments, it was too long to maintain my attention throughout. If I wanted political, I would pick my fav channel. This was the first time in several years I watched. Hope I remember this next year.
I can't stand any of the awards shows. I watch the pre-show what they are wearing events and I did watch Chris' opening monologue and thought it was great.
I also saw the bit with the Price Waterhouse "accounts" and thought it was hilarious.

Personally, I think it just divides the country even more.

Stacy Dash is African American, an occasional Fox personality, who says she voted for Obama in 2008 and Romney in 2012. She is against BET and BHM because she finds they limit her race by enhancing differences based on skin color.

I never watch any of the award shows. I just look online the next day to see the best/worst dressed and the highlights of the show.

She also said that she feels that BET and BHM encourages segregation instead of integration.

Well, they are not at all inclusive.

Opening monologue was good.
Saw this on the news today, and heard they raised $65,000. I'd say that isn't dumb, but really smart on the part of the troop.
I think it's great that they did something like that.

The Stacey Dash joke fell flat. She doesn't realize she is the joke.
I was disappointed in him using the Asian kids as the butt of a joke.

It's wonderful that a large amount was raised, but it reminded me of the office fund raisings that parents bring in to their 'captive employees'.
I personally would not do that to my co workers. I thought it was a little nervey on his part.
