@Georgiagrama:  Sorry, you are incorrect, the "big" Amazon competition is for their Headquarters #2.  There are a number of distribution centers (we have one in Phoenix).

I can only go by how they referred to it on our local news last night. They called it a delivery center.  I know that Amazon hasn't officially announced the location of the huge distribution center, or that I know of anyhow. I know that Georgia has been in fierce competition for it.  It would be an amazing boost to the economy of any city they might choose.  This is a 10,000 square foot delivery center and they are hiring people to load trucks only.  No packing or anything like that.  Apparently, they have many delivery centers through out the country.

@Georgiagrama:  You and I are talking about two different Amazon ventures.  The one I am referring to is the new Headquarters that many cities are vying for and the finalists include D.C. Area, Pittsburgh, NYC and Boston.  The winner needs to be a transportation hub, with lots of educational institutions etc.  I'm hoping it's DC because it would have such impact that it would diversify a "Company Town" forever.

Oh yes!!  The headquaters would be an amazing economy boost for any area.  I think they were also hoping it would be in Atlanta. I understand what you are referring to now.
