Re: Wounded Warriors project Execs fired

You cannot trust anything anymore that asks for money.

I heard this morning that some of the veterans felt like they were "on display" by these exec's to garner sympathy at these donation events.   It's atrocious.

I really don't understand how these people sleep at night. How anyone can take money donated to any charity and use it for their own pleasures is just beyond my understanding. I guess some people just don't have any sense of right and wrong, or just don't care. Unfortunately, a lot of charities waste the dollars they are given. I realize every organization has costs, but this is just despicable.

Who fired them?  Is there a board?

Two things -

1)  Too bad this didn't happen a LONG time ago.   A lot of us knew about this horrid 'charity' for some time now; and

2)   I just hope they didn't get a big check with their exit.

yes, the board. The board of directors are responsible for taking action and should have done so before it reached this level. Yes, it takes money to raise money, but the public will be a harsh critic if you aren't able to hold costs in check.

This is an incentive gift, they hope it spurs you to make a donation. It is a competative business trying to win over donation dollars. Charities are trying to stand out in a crowded field.
