Hmmmm.... I'm not sure how I feel about this ....but its thought
provoking ....

No. I would not. I'm not keen on sending out my DNA.
I'm a bit confused by the "test for cures" using people who MIGHT develop the illness based on a genetic "possibility".
I would think that it would be more reasonable to use people who have already been diagnosed.

No; unless there's a cure or effective treatment, I don't want to know.

Yes .. I think I am leaning in that direction also .....

Exactly, @Caligurll
If there isn’t a way to prevent it or lower your risk then it wouldn’t be of benefit to me.

After watching the 60 minutes episode with the Doctor who visited the woman who had the disease every year for 10 years I would want to know.
I would back up my bags, go to Oregon and die with dignity rather then die the way that lady did.

Only if the reason is to create a cure.

Play like you sent it back.
Play like it came back as positive...you will get Alzheimers.
Play like they told you if you alter your nutrition/lifestyle
to prolong the diagnosis...or even prevent, would you do it?
I’m guessing, no.
Not too many people would.
I have some very special friends who have changed their
nutrition/lifestyle when confronted with a family member
who are showing signs of Alzheimers & other conditions.
Doing a Life 180 is hard. Just depends on how bad you want it.
Oh, by the way....the info is out there...free of charge.

Since there is no cure for Alzheimers disease, I'm sure there are many companies trying to find what is the cause and how to slow it or eventually cure it. It's all admirable and I hope they can disover more about the disease. But, I wouldn't send my DNA swab off to a company that I'm not familiar with. If a local research hospital was participating in this, then I would consider it....just my opinion.
