@wildcat fan wrote:"He is having affairs." To those who say the wife and kids are not in danger, I disagree. Who knows what he could be exposing himself and them to by having relationships with multiple women. They could be just as erratic or have been diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease. Who knows? Is that a risk she wants to take?
Sounds as though she's given him multiple chances and it sounds like an emotional and financial roller coaster with this guy. She and the children need stability.
@wildcat fan he would only be exposing the wife with a disease. NOT THE CHILDREN. Since she knows that he is sick ~ she should stop all intimate relations with him. Don't add hyseria here about the kids.
As I previously stated, these women could be just as erratic as he is. I'm not going to assume Mr. Unstable is attracting all sorts of stable women.

Oh. But you added a little unwarranted attempt at hyperbole with saying the children would be affected medically by his dealings with other women. The wife would be, not the children @wildcat fan.

@Abrowneyegirl I'm not quite following this.
If she volunteers with you, how does she work for benefits?
If he is the bread winner, he must have health insurance for himself and the family?
He must have an excellent credit history and income to afford buying all kinds of vehicles. But since he is on leave from work, when did he start purchasing all these items?

She needs to see a family law attorney STAT .... and probably file a separation and insulate herself from his crazy expenditures and DEBTS he's incurring. He could ruin her financially for life.
Please tell her to talk to an attorney immediately!

Also, she can't close his accounts.

@Tinkrbl44 since wife does not work and hubby does (bread winner) he is messing up their collective credit. She can't be considered for any credit benefit without a steady paycheck. So she won't be hurt financially in the long run. She would be if she is relying solely on his income (which it sounds like).

@itiswhatitis@Tinkrbl44 The OP stated the woman works for benefits but he is the bread winner. But she volunteers with her.
Hence, my confusion on who has the medical insurance and honestly with all this going on how does this woman find the time to volunteer and work?
Did I miss some clarification??

Not unwarranted hyperbole. I do think they could "be affected medically" if he's dealing with with someone who is also emotionally unstable. This OP reads like the beginning of a Dateline or Snapped episode. It could happen to anybody.

It all sounds suspect to me. This is particularly true of closing accounts w/o her name on them.

This was the only advice I had for her!
Actually I had 2 pieces of advice
1- continue to see her therapist
2- see an attorney
