We once had a stretch of 30 days when it didn't get above zero. That gets old quickly. I love it when nature gifts us with a few days here and there that hold the promise of spring. We almost hit 60 one day last week, so many people were out walking their dogs, and you could just feel the cheerfulness in the air. More, please.

Because I live in Fl., I welcome those cool days in Jan. and Feb. when we put on long sleeve tops, closed shoes, long pants and a light jacket. It is a beautiful relief from the heat.

In Genoa city, Wis home of Y&R they wear no sleeves, shorts and mini skirts in the park all thru the winter. LOL

Clearly, it depends on your climate.
I live in Southern California, and really look forward to the cooler months where the high is in the 60's and it's really chilly at night.
We've had some very hot weeks .... high 80s and low 90s .... bring back the cooler weather!!

If it's going to be a mild winter, I want the entire winter to be mild. If it's going to be cold, then I want it cold and I want snow. I can't stand all this back and forth.
I am in northern Ohio as well and this back and forth is killing my sinuses. I got a cold out of nowhere a few weeks ago and now I'm not sure if I have a sinus infection or what is going on. I wake up miserable every morning and now besides my nose being all stuffed up, I have a sore throat, probably from sinus drainage. I know the back and forth of this weather is causing my issues.
Today is miserable rain. I would rather have had snow than the deluge of rain we've had so far this morning.

I lived in San Diego most of my life - yes, know what you mean. Now in Indiana and really enjoying the milder winters here. We had a couple I didn't think I would survive!

We had an ice storm Thanksgiving Weekend & Christmas Weekend & quite a bit of rain this winter. I like it cold because I sleep better. Not looking forward to the rain, humidity & heat. Our winter is over. It's 44° sunny & windy right now.

The more warmth the better for me. ![]()
I love being outside and miss not being able to go out as much in the winter. When we had a 60 degree day recently I walked for miles.
