Then I'd eat what I wanted and live my life without a care.  

I don't worry about death and I am not afraid of it, but I have things I'd like to do before I check out.

Right now I am working on cleaning out the basement.  If I knew I was gonna die soon, I'd go on a vacation instead.

didnt mean to upset...and i feel for myself not dark at all...a life not examined with the thoughtfulness of inevitable death can be wasteful.

Thanks.....Im in a self help group...and everyone had to come up with a question that would precipitate a discussion....this one was mine and the discussion still goes on 2+ years later...

I don't know.  After seeing my father and other people go from living a very full and vibrant life to getting old and weak and having dementia I know I don't want to live to be that old.  If the enelope said that I wouldn't die until my 90's I would be very depressed.
