@151949  yes, I read the numerous articles on that.  Unbelievable .  The person that discovered this was an OB-GYN who was treating patients and noticed a significant correlation and a large population with this issue. Go figure.

If someone would be willing to have a relationship with a married person, why would future cheating bother them?  And, why do we live in a time where people brag about their lack of morals?

@RazorSharp  I believe the key is your statement at the end "Staying in a miserable marriage."  That is the crux of the OP question.  If people were honest, men or women, should they not leave a marriage before cheating, and, thereby subjecting their spouse to the misery of cheating and what follows?

I wouldn't even date someone that was married! There are those women who will though and then marry them. Then the same thing happens to them.

@Sooner  I have some "rs" that occur before redemption.  They are repudiation, restitution and repentance.

Just a new thought:  I'd want him to have a local job so I could 'keep track' of what he's up to..........I'd never marry a former cheater if he were 'a traveling man'.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I have zero respect for people who cheat.

I wouldn't date a cheater, much less marry them.

I've always believed in this saying "if he cheats on her, he'll cheat on you"!

It's just in the DNA, no changing them.
